"Be the change you wish to see in the world" -- that was Gandhi.
Potent, but over-used.
"If you want to make the world a better place, take a look at yourself and make a change." -- that was Michael Jackson.
Relevant, catchy, but painfully cheesy.
"Use the web to change the world. Start by using your blog for good." -- that one's a paraphrase of Rebecca Bollwitt.
Now that's what we're talking about.
It's time for Blogathon 2009, and the web is about to witness one of the most passionate, well-organized, innovative, grassroots communities of change-makers create an enormous movement all acrooss Vancouver.
Rebecca Bollwitt, aka Miss604, has chosen Union Gospel Mission as her charity of choice. We are more than honoured, and we hope that anybody dropping by to tour our site and learn more about us during Blogathon will feel comfortable to reach out, ask questions and engage us with questions. We're here for you, because of you, with you. Your passion motivates UGM, empowers us, and makes sure that change keeps happening here on Vancouver's streets. Transforming Vancouver starts with you, me, everybody, working together -- thanks for partnering with us.
