Canadians Mascot visits UGM Kidzone Children’s Program

March 06, 2009

On Saturday Feb. 14th, 2009 the Canadians baseball team mascot Bob Brown Bear took a few hours out of his morning to visit the Kidzone program at the main mission.  The children were treated to stick-on tattoo’s and baseball cards!  Bob Brown Bear was excited to give high fives and encourage the children.
Some of the younger children did take a little extra time to warm up to the C’s mascot (how many times do YOU go somewhere and find an eight-foot tall loveable bear?), but even Ashlee who was a little bit scared in the beginning, warmed up to Bob Brown bear in no time and was giving him plenty of high-fives by the time the day was done.” Thanks to the Canadians and their dedicated staff for taking time out of their day to visit Kidzone.

While at the party the children received brand new shoes and clothing items received by UGM over the last few months. They also enjoyed breakfast and snacks as well as making Valentine’s day cards.
