Day 3 of the John Chow Effect

October 08, 2008

Yesterday, John Chow kicked off his 2008 Thanksgiving campaign for Union Gospel Mission: donate to UGM, and John Chow will donate the same amount, up to $1000 per person. Since his announcement, the web has been a-buzz with excitement, offers and generosity. Here is a summary of some of the developments so far:
  • Raul from Hummingbird604 is offering a free 2-hour salsa dancing lesson to the person who donates the highest amount.
  • Quinton from Burnaby is so far the highest donor, with an ultra-generous donation of $1100. John has announced that even though it's over the limit, he will be matching every penny of it.
That's the day 3 update...but so far, it's only 8:30 am. Stay tuned to UGM's brand-new Twitter account for more!
