[Written by Bill Wong] Over the past few years, TD Canada Trust in New Westminster have been proactive in their willingness to offer their support to the New West UGM Drop-n Centre. Having contributed to providing staff as volunteers at a number of special events, particularly our summer barbecues, these special folks have diligently sought out additional opportunities to increase their involvement with UGM.Just a couple of months ago, the New West branch of TD Western (BCS #9029), implemented a special project to raise funds to purchase coffee for the Drop-in. As a result of their valiant efforts, they were able to secure approximately 650 pounds of coffee! Both Joven Antolin and Harvey Froment were on hand to receive the donation and transported this ‘gold’ shipment safely back to the Drop In.We are so grateful for their hard work and commitment in helping us with this ongoing need. Ms. Ravinder Sidhu, of the business banking support department coordinated the coffee project on behalf of TD Canada Trust (3rd person to the right in picture)
UGM in New West wishes to acknowledge the concentrated efforts that TD Canada Trust staff applied to raising the funds for the purchase of this wonderful support. It is so encouraging to be in partnership with these community ambassadors as they share in their compassion for the hungry, hurting and homeless.
TD Canada Trust will be providing support for our upcoming summer barbecue which will be held on Friday, August 7th.
