Seeing people as God intended

Someone once said, "To love someone is to see them as God intended them to be."  This, acted out, could change all our lives.

We tell them that they are not here by chance, but were created for a purpose -- our lives have a goal and end in mind, and they were meant to be!

That is what Lydia Home is all about, and here are the personal words from our June graduate, Julie L. that show she learned just that."Before I came to Lydia Home I was a lost and broken soul.  I knew of no way out and thought that I was destined to live in my own hell for the rest of my life.  Actually I had lost faith in God, mankind and myself and my life showed that up for sure.  I was often in dangerous situations and never knew when I would eat again or where I would sleep.

At Lydia Home they taught me the tools I needed to stay clean, they also taught me that I am worth something.  Most important of all, I found God and I know that without Him I would not be here today, nor would I be able to stay clean.  The love and comfort I have found in God is like no other and I have Lydia Home to thank for this!

I have learned about my addiction and how to stay clean by remembering to stay focused and on track.  As long as I listen and follow God’s way I will be alright.

I never knew such love and comfort existed as that which I received from the staff here.  I am so grateful that I came here and did the program."

Wishing you all a great summer!
