You know that spot in your house? That blank wall that's begging to be filled with a dynamic bullseye/jackpot/motherlode of artwork? And you know that hole in your heart? That one that hurts everytime you wish you could actually do something to help the homeless, fight injustice, make a difference?
There's a way to fill both voids. You can combat poverty and acquire gorgeous art at the same time.
This week, limited-edition art curators Wallblank are selling a completely original art piece by Vancouver graphic designer & art director Zach Bulick, and 100% of the proceeds go towards the life-changing programs at Union Gospel Mission. It's a gorgeous creation, and it's a great cause: it's called THERE IS HOPE HERE.

"Rise up," the poster commands, before diving into a typographic maelstrom. Phrases that explore what it means to help people are given original text treatments against a orange background. These aren't words from movies, books or speeches: Zach worked closely with UGM staff to write and uncover phrases that resonate with the work being done on the Downtown Eastside.
We recommend this 12" x 12" record sleeve frame from Urban Outfitters for Zach's piece. Not only is it the right size, but it's inexpensive and looks rad.
So now is the time to head on over to Wallblank and grab yourself this limited-edition work of art. It's $20 (plus shipping), and like we said, all of the money made goes towards Union Gospel Mission. As of today, the official colour of hope is Pantone 158U.
