Meals
In partnership with bighearted individuals like you, Union Gospel Mission cares for some of Metro Vancouver’s poorest men, women and children. Many are homeless, many are battling addictions, and all of them are hungry.
Three times a day, 365 days a year, hungry people with nowhere else to turn know they can always come to Union Gospel Mission for a nourishing meal. And four times a year, UGM opens its doors even wider to serve thousands of meals as those in need join us at our Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter dinners, and our annual Summer BBQ.
At every UGM meal, guests are given a warm welcome. Many of them live on the streets, so when they come inside and are greeted with a kind smile, a handshake, and a home-cooked meal, it’s the first step in helping them regain their dignity.
A meal is often how struggling men and women first access UGM’s other life-changing programs: shelter, alcohol and drug recovery, education, affordable housing, and child and family services.

Emergency Shelter
For those who need refuge from the night streets, UGM’s emergency shelter is open 365 nights a year. We offer not only a warm bed, but support and referral services from caring Outreach workers who build relationships and help guests take the next steps off the streets, into UGM’s transformative programs and onto a brighter future.
