COVID-19: Lives on the Line

Your Urgent Help is Critical as Needs Deepen

The threat of COVID-19 is only deepening poverty and homelessness for thousands of vulnerable men, women, and children living across Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley.

As COVID-19 is forcing many other organizations to scale down, the compassionate support of people like you means that UGM is stepping up to fill critical gaps. We’re increasing emergency supports for low-income families and maintaining our most essential life-saving programs like meals, emergency shelter, and housing.

“UGM is putting forth a lot to make sure that families are going to make it through. Knowing I can come here makes me feel safe.”

– Sabrina, low-income mother of three

Parents of low-income families are now scrambling to put food on the tables. They’re stunned that programs they rely on to feed their kids are scaled back or indefinitely closed. Resources are stretching as thin as possible. Needs are urgent, and supplies are scarce.

These are the people that Union Gospel Mission is committed to serving, protecting, and loving — especially amidst a pandemic like this.
