Job Summary

As the Consignment Store Supervisor (New Westminster), you will have the overall responsibility to ensure the successful sale of retail product and provide day-to-day supervision of all Consignment Store staff, Work Internship Placement workers, and volunteers, as well as supporting the Social Enterprise and Community Engagement teams as required. You will be responsible to ensure all retail staff and volunteers provide excellent customer service to a diverse and complex client group. Duties also include the onboarding of new consignors

At times you will come into contact with clients in crisis situations, brought about by diverse problems.  There will be Outreach Workers and other Programs staff nearby to assist as required.

Skill Set

We are looking for a dynamic individual who fully engages in the work of UGM. Your several years of progressively responsible supervisory experience in the retail (consignment) industry will accompany your drive to serve with excellence. Experience working with volunteers, in administration, leadership, conflict resolution and excellent judgement will round out the necessary skills for you to have success in this role. Experience working with diverse and marginalized individuals is an asset.

This position may have unsupervised access to vulnerable adults or children.  Therefore, the successful candidate must provide a current criminal record check that includes a vulnerable sector search as a condition of employment.
