
New appointments at Union Gospel Mission
Vancouver, BC—Union Gospel Mission is pleased to announce that Jeffrey Baergen has been appointed Community Engagement Coordinator. Jeff will be responsible for managing events, as well as for fostering community relationships while helping Downtown Eastside agencies and businesses work together for a healthier community. Jeff was formerly an Outreach Worker at UGM.
Union Gospel Mission is equally pleased to announce that Shiela Thompson has been appointed Chaplain for UGM’s Women and Families Centre. She will be responsible for serving the guests and staff in a variety of ways, including lending much-needed spiritual and emotional support and encouragement. Sheila was formerly an Alcohol and Drug Recovery Counselor at UGM.
Union Gospel Mission has been feeding hope and changing the lives of men, women, and children for over 70 years.
