New Appointments at Union Gospel Mission

Ryan Koch has been appointed Associate Director, Principal and Legacy Giving at Union Gospel Mission.  He will be responsible for the strategic coordination of Union Gospel Mission’s annual and capital fundraising campaigns, and will provide leadership in strategy development for this team.  Koch was formerly the Manager of Campaigns at UGM.

Kim Harmson has been appointed to Manager, Annual and Special Giving. She will be responsible for the development, implementation, management and sustainability of the Annual and Special Giving portfolios which includes many of the third party events that take place around Vancouver.

Derek Weiss has been appointed to a newly created position Senior External Relations Advisor.  Through this position, Weiss will plan, develop, manage and evaluate UGM’s external relations; liaise with the community; and bring concerned parties together for the betterment of the Downtown Eastside.

Thai Ngo has been hired as full time cook for the Vancouver Kitchen. Ngo is a red seal certified chef with over 20 years experience in a variety of cuisines experiences including being a personal chef in Hollywood and an executive chef at a remote fishing lodge where supplies only arrived once a week by float plane.
