Carrying the message…
Serving the community
Who We Are
Union Gospel Mission aims to assist those who have completed the Alcohol & Drug Recovery Program during every stage of their journey. UGM Alumni is a community of former residents who work together to serve the community and stay connected with each other. The only requirement is the completion of the 6 month residential recovery program.
Staying connected with UGM’s Alumni can help prevent relapse while encouraging others along the way. A volunteer Alumni Council oversees alumni activities and events throughout the year, including on-site AA meetings with current residents of UGM’s A&D Recovery Program and service opportunities in the wider community.
What We Do
We host regular AA meetings, special events, movie nights, city clean ups, milestone celebrations, and more. Alumni are also a visible presence at UGM’s community dinners. Many of UGM’s Alumni become valued volunteers and employees and remain active in reaching out to hurting and addicted individuals, who, like they once were, are caught in the deadly spiral of addiction.
Success Breeds Success
Through community involvement, giving back in action, and sharing our stories with current residents, our Alumni help each other stay accountable, reach life-giving goals, maintain a sober lifestyle, and thrive.
